FIRST OUT

This is a very good follow-up game to play after Dealer's Choice. Now the players take turns asking questions, but this time they can only discard one card at he time.

DECIDING THE TARGET LANGUAGE

1. The teacher decides:  For example: Do you like to ____ ?

2. The students decide the TL for each card themselves. (advanced)

3. Use the Color Coded Cards (explain the TL for each color if needed)

SET UP

1. Select the Topic cards you want to use. (make sure to select each topic card in all 5 colors)

2. Give all players 7 cards and place the remaining cards face down in the center, this is the Draw Pile.

HOW TO PLAY

1. Starting left from the dealer, the first player selects one card from her/his hand, places it face-up in front of her/him and uses the TL.

2. Next, all players take turns (clockwise) answering the TL.

If a player has a matching card (same Topic but different border color) (s)he places the card face up in front of her/him and answers Yes, I do.

3. If a player doesn't have a matching card, (s)he must take a card from the Draw Pile.

If the card matches, (s)he says Yes, I do and places it on the table.

If the card doesn't match, (s)he says No, I don't and gets to keep the card.

4. If ALL PLAYERS answer No, the same player can continue and start a new round.

But if one or more players answer Yes during a round, the next round it becomes the second player's turn.

The person who puts down all cards first, wins the game......

You can shorten the length of the game by giving everybody only 3 or 4 cards.
