TIPS AND HINTS

Ready for the Next Level? 🚀

Here are some tips and hints to make learning even more fun and challenging.

1 Dealer's Choice (beginners) Instead of answering all  the questions, the students repeat the Dealer and add "Yes" or "No" , depending on whether they have a match or not!

2 Dealer's Choice (advanced) Mix up the grammar with "Do you...  Are you.... Can you..." type questions. A great listening workout!

3 Dealer's Choice (advanced) Mix up the grammar with "Does Tom...  Is Mary.... Can your friend(s)..." type questions. Also great listening drill!

4 Assign a different question type to each color.

For example:

  Blue = "Do you like ___ "

  Orange = "Are you ___ing ___"

  Pink = "Are you ___ing ___"

  Green = "Do you want to ___ "

  Purple = "Is  ___ ing fun/difficult "

5 Super Domino: Make it a Q&A game!

All players: "Do you like to read books?"

Player 1:

a)  "Yes, I do"

b)  "A little"

c)  "No, I don't"

6 Super Domino: Assign different question types to each color using the Color Coded Cards !

7 Memory Game: With very younger learners, making teams is good way to avoid "losers". Two or three players per team works best. Just make sure that members of the same team are not seated next to each other.... 👀

8 Memory Game: The players give their opinions on each card they turn.

1st card = "I (don't) like to ____"

2nd card = "I (don't) want to ____"

9 Memory Game: Blue cards =Tom   Pink cards = Mary.

10 Memory Game: Blue cards = yesterday   Pink cards = tomorrow.

11 Make un-usable questions usable by adding objects, locations, time or adjectives.

Can you listen to music on your smart phone?

Can you listen to music in your room?

Can you listen to music after 10pm?

Can you listen to loud Punk music?

by adding objects, locations, time or adjectives!
