SUPER DOMINO

How many cards can you connect?

The players connect cards, using adjectives to give their opinion with each card they put down.

The Target Language 🤔

I (don't) like to ___!

Want to practice something else? Check out the Target Language Page.👍

Set Up 😀

1. Choose the Topic Cards you want to play with. Make sure you have each topic in all five colors.

2. Give each player 7 cards. Place the rest of the cards face down on the table to create the Draw Pile.

3. Take the top card from the Draw Pile and place it, face up, in the center of the table. This card is the Start Card.  (pic 1)

For example, today the Start Card is the green "read a book" card.

IMPORTANT! Players can place only one color per turn!

How to Play 🎲

1. Player 1 can place any green cards (s)he has on the left or right side of the Start Card and use the Target Language for each card,  "I (don't) like to eat curry and rice!" (pic 2)👍

🤨 If Player 1 has no green cards (s)he has two choices:

Option A: Change the color.

Place another "read a book" card (for example orange ) on the table. This changes the active color for the game to orange.  Now, player 1 can place any orange cards (s)he has.

Option B: Draw a card.

Take a card from the Draw Pile.

If the new card matches the color on the table or is another  "read a book" card, (s)he can play it and continue their turn.  (pic 3)

If the new card does not match, (s)he keeps the card and says "Nothing!" or "I'm finished!"

Now it is the next player's turn.....

2. The game can end in one of three ways:

1. A player gets rid of all of their cards. That player is the winner! 🥇🏆

2. There are no more cards left to connect. In this case the player with the least cards is the winner! 🥇🏆

3. The teacher decides that it's time to finish the game. Again, the player with the least cards is the winner! 🥇🏆 (pic 4)

💡Tip 1 For more advanced players...  Practice using adjectives:  "I think that __ing ___ is fun!"
